A Personal Approach to Probate
Growing up in a farming family taught me two things: the value of hard work and the importance of protecting family. Those lessons have guided me through every stage of my career and shape how I serve clients today.
After graduating from Oklahoma State University, I spent several years building a family business with my father. That hands-on experience gave me firsthand insight into the complexities and emotions involved when families face difficult transitions. It also showed me how much families need clear, honest legal guidance during those moments.
Motivated by that realization, I earned my law degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law and went on to found Robbins Estate Law, now one of Texas's leading estate planning and probate firms.
Why I Focus on Probate
Estate planning became deeply personal when my first child was born. Creating our family's estate plan gave me a sense of relief and confidence that I wanted every family to experience. That's the same feeling I work to provide for every client who walks through our door or joins a call.
Since founding the firm, I've helped thousands of Houston families navigate independent administration, muniment of title, will contests, intestate succession, and every other type of probate proceeding in Harris County's five probate courts.
What You Can Expect
I built this practice on three commitments:
- Transparent pricing. Whether we work on a flat fee or hourly basis, you'll know the full cost before we start. No hidden fees, no billing surprises.
- Deep experience. Thousands of successful probate cases give us the pattern recognition to anticipate problems and avoid common pitfalls. Every estate plan and probate strategy is tailored to your specific situation.
- Ongoing support. Our relationship doesn't end when the paperwork is filed. Questions come up months or years later, and we're here to answer them without charging you for a quick phone call.
How We Work
Most Harris County probate matters can be handled entirely remotely. I work with clients across Houston, across Texas, and across the country. Harris County probate courts accommodate Zoom hearings for most uncontested proceedings, and all filings are submitted electronically. Many clients complete the entire process without ever visiting the courthouse.
Behind me stands a dedicated team ready to support you at every step:
- Probate attorneys providing experienced, empathetic guidance through each phase of the process
- Paralegals handling meticulous document preparation with care and attention to detail
- Client coordinators offering responsive, reassuring support from your very first call
